Julie Fowlis, Music Of The Scottish Isles

Not long ago, I had the pleasure of experiencing the most delightful musical treasure.  Julie Fowlis is the most adorable Scottish folk singer who has an amazingly big voice for such a teeny tiny body.

Julie and her band were spending a few weeks touring the US and I was thrilled to experience them first hand.  I didn't really know what to expect when I chose got the tickets but as I love Irish music, I figured this would be great too.

Um...it was!

Nearly the entire concert was performed in Scottish Gaelic but it didn't seem to matter.  The audience absolutely fell in love with sweet Julie and her fantastic band!  Blackbird by the Beetles is great.  Blackbird by the Beetles sung by Julie Fowlis is Scottish Gaelic is beyond great.  Who knew?!

I love concerts where you have no expectations and come away with your mind blown.  The best!

The band hung around after the show to autograph, take pics and just chat with their new fans.  They were so personable and delightful.
