And The Plot Thickens

I promise I will not make this blog a whine fest or anti-etsy.  I am not anti-good crafters at all and I hope no one ever thinks as much.  But this is my blog and my story.  And thanks to Bestie's awesome hubby, my story got even stranger today.  Can y'all handle it?  Sure?  I knew you could!

So because Bestie's hub is truly awesome, he got just as hot and bothered as Bestie and I did about the big etsy battle.  He called Burberry.  Oh yes he did.  I know y'all don't know him (or her or me) personally, but trust me when I tell you that this is just so him.  He just convinced a company to turn a no into a job.  (Not Burberry - an unrelated company- just making the point that he rocks.) He starts on Monday.  I think he should sell infomercials.  I would love to have even an ounce of his gumption.  But anyway, back to the story.  If I called Burberry, I would be lucky to get a voice mail.  He actually talked to the right people.  And guess what they said?  No seriously...guess!

It wasn't them!  Records were checked and the great Nova Checkers said it was not them at all!

Furthermore, he asked what would push them to threaten infringement rights and complain to etsy (and others).  They said that while it annoys them when they see fabrics in a similar design, they don't react to them.  Only when an image or logo is used or when someone tries to pass off their goods as official Burberry goods. 

So etsy claims I can only get back on if Burberry rescinds their complaint.  But Burberry says they didn't complain and it is not something they would even care about.

Dun, dun, dunnnn...

The great etsy fired my booty mystery remains!
