What's Your Usual?

They say you can tell a lot about a person by their Starbucks order. Now I don't actually know who they are or what it is you can tell about people, but I do know that we all have our "usual." For me, Starbucks is usually reserved for meetings. I tend to have a fair number of Junior League meetings at the S'buck. But when I lived in DC, it was a nearly daily event. That's so bad, I know!

So depending on the season, I always always pick one of three drinks. I never try the new things. I am a total creature of habit. I park in the same aisle at stores every single time, I make things because I grew up eating the same recipes and I still talk to nearly all of the same friends I made at birth. I'm not big on changes I guess. Or I'm lazy. That's probably closer to the truth.

My Starbucks Drinks:

1. My old faithful and constant best (coffee) friend. Sugar free, fat free, decaf hazelnut latte. Oh yes, I am that girl. Straight out of You've Got Mail, baby!

2. My favorite drink of all time. Fat free pumpkin spice latte. It's beyond good. Orgasmic good. OK, maybe not quite that risque. But it is darn good! Sweet and spicy and just plain delish.

3. My it's hot as blazes outside and don't understand how anyone could possibly drink anything hot beverage. Iced green tea. My favorite ice tea above the Mason Dixon line.

So tell me...what is (are) your favorite Starbucks beverage? Or are you a Dunkin loyalist? Or do you scoff at all things mass market and have your own special blend you whip up at home?

You crack me up so darned much! I myself am totally NOT allowed to touch coffee. My teaching partner and hubby forbide it. It seems the people that are around me the most tend to think (I don't know why) that I am a tad bit hyper! Jeez, I teach kindergarten, I have to be "UP" all the time. tee hee If I did drink it, I would want something caramelllly! mmmmm I get a fix just smellin' the stuff! :)

During my college days, Starbucks was my staple. It was on campus and I had the "bonus bucks" so I was SPOILED!!

Now, it's a Saturday morning thing with my NWH. I get a Grande Fat Free Cinnamon Dolce Late.. oh so yum!

I usually go for the white chocolate mocha. Last year I finally tried the peppermint mocha. And maybe this year I will try the pumpkin.

I'm not a coffee drinker AT ALL, but I like to support small, local places. I absolutely adore cocoa and in a pinh I will buy S'bucks cocoa. I was drinking Oregon Chai for awhile, but had to stop because of the caffeine thing.
Here's the funny thing though. I was on my way to parent/teacher conference and I wanted to bring my child's teacher some kind of treat and I knew she loved S'bucks. Well.....never having ordered coffee before I didn't have the slightest clue about flavors, sizes, etc...So I pulled a "You've Got Mail" and hoped it was an actual item to order. I ordered a Tall, Skim, Caramel, Macchiato. Can you believe it, it was the teacher's favorite.
I do like S'bucks vanillabean frapp. There's no caffeine in that is there?

Really ? Well, I don't to caffeine so starbucks is out of bounds for me - even the tea is not decaf.

I am a total creature of habit too! Grande, nonfat, no foam vanilla latte for me. Once in a great while, I'll mix it up and get a nonfat no whip mocha. I used to get caramel macchiatos too but I haven't had one in a long time. I do go to Dunkins too, and then it's a medium regula iced in the summer, medium regular hot in the winter.

Pumpkin Spice Latte is the best! I only go to Starbucks when they have that. I actually just ordered sugar free pumpkin pie flavored syrup to try and make it at home :) I am such a creature of habit too, I do the same thing with the food I grew up with recipes.

I didn't realize you could get that Pumpkin Spice Latte fat free, not sure why this surprises me. My fav summer time drinks are any of the teas or ice coffee with half sweetner. Cool weather would be the pumpkin spice or the peppermint mocha latte. Mmmm.

I have three favorites! When its cold outside, its a Caramel Latte or Pumpkin Spice latte when its available. But during the summer, I am a caramel Frapp type of girl. Love the post! :]

I don't like coffee at all, but a few times during the fall, I treat myself to a Starbucks peppermint hot cocoa. I get the big one, with whipped cream and cocoa sprinkles. YUM!

I'm the same way - when I go to the gym I always park in the same row! I have a few standby drinks and I don't like to try new things. My normal is a nonfat, sugarfree vanilla latte, sometimes decaf. My hot weather drink is an iced americano with extra ice. My special treat is an americano with two pumps white mocha.

Side note: I didn't know you lived in D.C. myself, born and raised on Capital Hill. Small world huh?
