Gotcha

Did anyone else go to Old Navy for flip flops on Saturday? Boy-oh-boy was that a GREAT marketing ploy on their end!! That place was more packed than usual, which is why I rarely visit! And the $1 flops, almost none left by the time I got there. The check out gal said that crowds were lined up well before the store opened. Yeah, I was not nearly that dedicated to rubber flip flops. Nor do I have nearly enough patience to weed through piles of clothes to find deals and steals. I found the only pair in my size and also the only pair in my father's size (I have totally converted the man into a flip flop wearing fool in the summer! Or running errands or walking to the market anyway. He's not wearing them with a suit or anything.). I waited way too long in line to check out and had my hand prepared to pass the cashier $2.08. But instead it was $6 something. What? I thought they were $1 each. And only $2.50 normally. Oh the silver pair I picked up for myself was $5. Whatever, that's still cheapo. But I drove waaaaay out to the mall just to get flops for a buck and it was well....sort of a bust. You got me, Old Navy! One point goes to ON, zero for me.

I do like the silver flip flops though.

Boo on ON! I laughed at you saying your dad wasn't wearing them with suits because I saw an attorney today wearing Crocs with a suit. I think flips would have been an improvement.

I had figured they'd be out of my size before I even got out of bed Saturday morning! Good for you for attempting to go, I always love a sale!

I totally missed that one - oh well, I'm sure I'll be ok with my 600 millions pairs I already have!!

that would explain the crazy lines.
My husband and I went to the center where Old Navy is...he went to Barnes and Noble, I went to Ann TAylor Loft...we walked by Old Navy and it looked like 200 people in line..we just kept walking.

Ew, sounds like a pain, but I'm sure your feet are looking fabulous in your new flops!

I went to the sale. It was more a flop than a flip. I have a love/hate relationship with old navy. I love that I can load up on cheap clothes for camp and basics for school. I hate that some of the kids clothes take a very "hoochie momma" turn - especially in the tween and teen area.
I had some serious retail satisfaction at Nordstrom's half-yealy though!

ON is hit or miss for me.
Last year they had the CUTEST sandals for under $15, I even got one pair for $9. I'm sure they're not real leather, but are sooo cute.

I sure did!! If I wore a size six I would have been all set, too bad I don't. I didn't even bother with the line, I just walked out after I saw they were all gone, Then when I got home I saw they were $1.25 online anyways!! Love Online shopping, my size in stock and no lines!!

I wasn't able to get there until later in the day and there was not a single pair left. I heard the lines were crazy!
