I Want...

This is my new answer/life mantra to the age ole' complaint/grumble/whine of "I want to do/be/see/have/etc..."   The next time I whine that, I am just going to stare at this!  Because it's so true girls.  I think we all have those times when we get caught up in the moment or the tiny, silly details.  And we forget that, as Glenda says, we had the power all along!

When I was a teenager, I remember telling my dad, "I wish I could play the guitar", or "I wish I knew how to do (insert whatever)". He would always respond with "No you don't. If you really wanted to you would be taking lessons/reading about it/being pro-active."

That sign reminded me of my dear dad. I can appreciate that now. I've started acting on what I want.

I've heard that limitations are self imposed, but I'm not so sure.
There are a lot of things I want/be/have/etc...however, my desires are blinded by what I think is best vs. what is best for me. I trust in God to provide what I need and what is best for me vs. what I want.

I love this! Recently I was dealing with an unfamiliar professional situation and I asked a senior colleague aboit it and his response was along the lines of "get out of your own way". Not the easiest thing to hear but in hindsight it was quite accurate!
