An Apple A Day

* I love applesauce.  Homemade is best, but anything will work.

* I can't stand the smell, let alone the flavor, of apple juice.  My future children will have to learn to love something else because apple juice will never enter my house, even in a sippy cup.

* I swoon for fresh pressed apple cider.  Hot, cold, room temp, with a dash of cinnamon, whatever.

* I LOVE LOVE apple pie.  But ONLY if I bake it, my mother (who I've not spoken to in more than a decade) or aunt bakes it.  If you make both the crust and the inside, I will gladly eat it. But I will never eat a pie purchased anywhere.  Even if it is "homemade."  Unless you serve it to me after dinner, where I will politely eat it.  But I won't enjoy it.  I am a pie snob and I make no apologies.

* I think apple crisp, crumble and buckle are icky.  However I adore them with any other fruit.

* I love apple slices but don't like eating a whole apple.  It's messy and sticky and just doesn't look pretty.

* I don't like many scents.  Most floral scents make me sneeze.  But I love the smell of an apple candle burning in the fall.

* I hate peeling apples. I would rather scrub a bathroom than peel apples. I think of it as God's weight control plan. I would totally make (and eat) a pie a day if I didn't hate peeling apples so much.

if you were to make a pie a day, what would you put in it? I really want to make an apple pie, but there are so many variations of fillings/spices to put on the apples.

I'm absolutely obsessed with all things apple. My hot caramel apple cider habit in the fall is bordering on addiction. I'm finally getting to like apples again. I had to slice (and eat) so many of them volunteering in Africa I couldn't stand the thought of eating an apple for months.

I'm the same way...LOVE cider, apple juice makes me want to puke. The kids don't ever have it because it grosses me out!

I'm with you on so many of these! I never just grab an apple and bite into it without slicing it first.. although so many people do. It's always so awkward, and gets in your teeth... yuck!
