Last night was rough. I was exhausted and fell asleep as soon as my head i
hit my pillow. Rare for this insomniac. Then around 4AM, I woke up dripping wet and immediately looked for Sadie. She was having a seizure. Once again there is truly no doubt that God woke me up from my deep slumber to see her episode from start to finish! I flew out of bed and turned on the light (though I have no memory of actually turning on the light) and held her. It was shorter than usual. They get shorter as time goes on. Which is a good sign I think. The last one was almost exactly five months ago but the seizing time is lessening. Unfortunately it still takes her about an hour to "come out of it." Where she is no longer shaking but still has a blank look on her face and can't follow your voice. And then there's the throw up. Always a bonus. But you have to just sit there, with (or worse, in) it until she comes out of it. I can't just up and leave her. Of course, once she comes back to herself, she feels fine. Tired but no memory. She goes to sleep. And I lie awake with a flashlight to shine on her to make sure she is OK for hours until I can finally fall asleep. She's peachy today and I am a loony-toon hovering momma. So the bottom line is that she's fine. Healthy. I'm losing my marbles as we speak though. So it's fabu.
My computer finally kicked the bucket so today I became the proud owner of my very first laptop. Can you believe it's 2010 and I am only now using a laptop?! I am totally not used to it yet either so you should expect many typos in the coming week. It's so different!
But to end on a happy note, go to for a fabulous giveaway! That includes all sorts of fabulous Lilly and preppy goodies, two of which are made by yours truly. The can and coffee cozy set above (I don't yet know how to highlight anything without a mouse so I can't move the photo around.). But don't you just love the pink and green Lilly Pulitzer fish print? So pop over there to enter!
And want to hear a fun story about Monograms and Margaritas? She ordered something from my etsy site. And upon sending it to her, I realized she lives in the same apartment complex that Bestie and I lived in a decade ago. Not only the same complex, but the same building (not same apt but still). Small, teeny, tiny world!!

I hope everything works out with Sadie. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I just got a laptop back in November. It took a broken foot for me to break down and buy one. It saved me from boredom when I had to sit in the same chair for 15 hours each day. I'm still enjoying it.

Poor Miss Sadie and I feel for ya. Wish I could come babysit for you. Does she have to take medication for the seizures? Hope y'all can get a good night's sleep tonight.
Hey, good on ya about the lap top. I don't have one either.

Poor Sadie. I was away from my Cricket for 4 days and almost lost my mind, but I can't even begin to imagine what you go through when she has her seizures. Cricket and I send her some love!
