The Moral Of The Story Is Just Because It Tastes Good...

So I went this this great little hole in the wall (my favorite) restaurant on Sunday night.  A new to me cuisine, Pakistani.  And it was soooo yummy.  OMG my meal was delish.  I ate every last bite and then talked about it for the next hour.  Then went to a show and home and thought nothing of it all.

Monday morning I woke up earlier than normal and didn't feel great but wasn't concerned.  I'm pretty much in a constant state of not feeling great.  I've yet to fully figure out my assumed food issues.

By mid day though, I knew I needed to cancel my date to meet my cousin-ish's baby.  Just in case, I didn't want to get him sick.  I was feeling pretty yucky in the tummy but still...this is sort of a week occurrence...so no big thing.

Or so I thought.

At some point in the later afternoon, the storm hit.  Full on fierce sickness.

Sick as a dog.  Which is hella-ironic (Do I sound like a hipster kid?  Because that was my vocabulary intention.  I'm completely doubting my ability to pull it off but I live to try again another day...) given that my dog was sick too.  Oh yes, she was throwing up in one room and I was doing the same in the bathroom (thankfully only one of us loses her cookies onto the carpet).

I will save you the gory details.  And trust me....things got embarrassingly bad.  Worse than I have ever been.  Truly, I have never been this sick.  My body is still in a lot of pain.  I imagine the pain will linger for a while as I slowly heal my sore muscles.

So the good news is that I am alive.  And improving.  Today I made big progress.  I ate two bananas, some rice, some mini pretzels and took a shower.  AND I managed to not get sick after any of those activities.  Thank you Lord for mini miracles.

I have lost four or five pounds since Monday morning.  Which I desperately need to lose.  But not like this.  Not on the forced bulimia diet.

I don't know for sure that this is a case of food poisoning.  It could be a violent stomach bug.  But either way, despite my love of my meal, I will be avoiding Pakistani food for a good long while.  I have no plans to revisit the last few days of my life.

Tomorrow's goal is to actually leave my house.

Everyone needs a dream...

I hope you get to feeling better. I had a bug a couple of months ago and it was not fun. Make sure that you drink plenty of liquids so that you do not dehydrate.

Oh no!!!1 I sure hope you feel better soon. Once you are totally better...try to get some probiotics to strengthen the good bacteria in your stomach.

That is how I was between Christmas and NYE! I hope you make it out of the house tomorrow. And hey...it's still 5 lbs.

Oh my that's terrible :( I hope you and your pup both feel better!!! As 3 Peanuts said, I definitely recommend probiotics!! I was sick with something similar back in January (not throwing up but literally couldn't pick my head up off my pillow for 5 days). After I had several rounds of antibiotics, several doctor visits, and doing nothing but going to class, studying, and getting straight back in the bed for 3 weeks, someone at my church recommended probiotics. The next day after I took them, I felt so much better! I hope you get out of the house tomorrow :)

Oh no!
Even though you were not feeling your best, I must commend you for your witty ability to share your thoughts.
Here's to leaving your home tomorrow and feeling like a MILLION bucks :)

my 40th birthday goes down in my history book as being the sickest I ever remember. After eating a salad bar lunch I was so sick I barely made it home.....I don't throw up but everything else you can imagine happened. It was not pretty. Awful. Awful. It took me two weeks to get my strength back and feel normal again. I NEVER went back to that restaurant. It was probably just a stomach bug, bug I could NOT get past remembering how sick I was after I ate there. Probiotics are now my friends too!

I feel your pain! I had the WORST stomach bug last spring. It is truly awful. You don't want anyone to even know what was going on in the bathroom! I hope you are feeling better!
