| It's not uncommon for me to type a nice comment and fail at reading these stupid word verifications a few times and just scratch the whole thing. |
The sad thing is that these were taken up close with a camera and are actually much easier to read than normal. If you have this on your blog, you have no right to ever complain about not getting many comments.
And that's all I have to say about that.

Excuse my language, but if I ever meet up with the bastard who came up with this "word verification"...they better run.
Some of them are SO ridiculous. I wish everyone just turned those silly things off. I occasionally get spam but now it is really under control a few months in!

Agreed, I am definitely not a fan of this word verification silliness! Makes it nearly impossible to leave a simple comment sometimes!
I hate it. I have heard that some bloggers turn it off and get hundreds of comments but that hasn't happened to me in at least a year (the chinese symbol spammer hit me once-5 minutes 300 comments!). I wish there was a better solution. The numbers on the doors is taking it too far!
The new verification is hard to read. I have to type it in at least twice.

I have a huge smile on my face after reading this. I have started to copy whatever I just wrote in the comments box because more often than not, I get the silly word thingys wrong and have to start over and over and over again. I get the spam thing but just delete the comment after it's posted if you don't like it.
My husband tried to use the audio feature to see if it was easier! It wasn't!
