Words To Live By

Here's a tip from me to you.  It's a simple tip but it may in fact save you a panic attack.  And that's always a good thing.

Do not....I repeat DO NOT...step on the scale in a house other than your own.  On Thanksgiving.  Because different scales are set slightly differently.  And if you do in fact follow my very foolish footsteps and step on the scale in your cousin's bathroom at the end of a Thanksgiving feast, you will want to cry.  Her scale will inevitable be different than yours.  And as luck has it, it will make you think you gained 6 lbs in one meal.

So safe yourself.  Powder your nose and walk out of there.  It's for your own good.  It's just not healthy to obsess over this fatty fatty two by four weight gain for the entire hour drive home.  Just to find out you did not in fact gain the weight of a newborn in one sitting.

I've done that before, too! And I never did it again. Wise advice, indeed.

Now that is some seriously good advise I will take to heart! In fact I might even just throw out my scale until about 3 weeks after the new year when I have had a chance to eat myself out of all my favourite Christmas treats =)

Oh no! You worried for hours and felt horrible about yourself for not reason! I hate scales, don't have any, and will even sometimes refuse to get on them at the doctor's office. Scales are an evil invention!!

I would never dare :) Did that a few years ago and almost had a heart attack. I won't even move my scale from one spot in my bedroom. Afraid I will weight differently on the other side...

Girl, you crazy. Why the heck would you step on a scale on Thanksgiving period?! Too funny.
