It's here. In October. The evil, dirty, bad "S" word has officially arrived! At my house it is not yet sticking to the ground. Other parts of Upstate NY are covered in more than a foot as of last night. So I know I shouldn't complain. But I am. Because it's only stinkin' October!! Santa is two how months away. Because it's ....say it with me kids....October!! Argh! If this is a joke, it is so not funny. Hello, it's October. Pumpkins, not snow. "S" word, we are not friends right now!

Hey better than the damp pelting rain we have on Long Island. My husband likes to bring up pictures of the NYS Ranger School in Wanakena and show me the snow. Somehow it never seems as cold upsate as it does down here with the dampness.
Build a snowman-who knows maybe it will be an early spring.
I agree...I am in upstate NY too and we got about 3-4 inches of snow last night!! I had to bring our carved pumpkins inside so they wouldn't get yucky with all of the snow. I am so not ready for this!!
Oh wow... already? Didn't you like just start wearing summer clothes? Come down here already!
Right there with you. I can't believe it has already arrived!
Oh noooooooooo Miss PPC!
What? TP whining? Yes, if it is about snow, we are whining in a large way.
Waaahhhh!
;-(
cheers to that.
If it makes it any easier for you to deal with the weather: I'm way jealous that you've got snow on the ground. You can send it all over here if you like- I'm less than enthused about our tropical weather that has stretched out to nearly November!
We had snow too! I'm in central NJ and we had an inch stick to the ground. Craziness.
Do you think that you could send some "S" word my way? I would love an S Day and not have to go to work!!!
Hi! I just had a few comments for you....
1. I LOVE you blog!!!
2. Your 'Shows that I dislike' post was not only funny but so true!
3. I made the Cherry Chicken recipe you posted about and it was every bit as good as you said it would be, thanks! My husband went back for seconds and I even emailed the recipe to a few friends and family members!

My family in Ohio has also mentioned the S word....but I love NC...70s all weekend!
