For Pregos Everywhere

I keep forgetting to tell you this little bit of randomness that I discovered one night when I had the reason that I am chubby munchies. So my real life friend Stacy mentioned that she loves eating those Betty Crocker Warm Delights sometimes. I've tried the brownie one too and yummers, I loved it! But then one night I decided that I wanted a brownie and didn't have on had a Warm Delight and didn't want to bake (read: wait for) an entire pan of brownies. What was a girl to do you ask? Well a skinny girl would have grabbed an apple and walked out of the kitchen. Damn her! Instead, I took out a bag of brownie mix. Took two heaping tablespoons of mix (like heaping- so probably measured correctly it equals 3-4 tablespoons...if you are into that exact measuring business....which I am not...) and 1-2 tablespoons of water or milk. Use one and if you need more, add it. Then pop that puppy in the microwave for 45-60 seconds. I swear it is the exact same thing. And when you consider that a bag of brownie mix is about $1 and will last you quite a few midnight cravings, you'll never want to buy the Betty Crocker ones again. Plus those come in a plastic container and that's all kinds of wasteful.

I have to admit that I sometimes concoct weird things to eat. I've been dieting for months and lately when I'm hungry for sweets I just eat a big spoonful of Ghirardelli hot chocolate mix with a tiny bit of milk and water. so embarrassing.

That sounds amazing!

I did that in my last few weeks of pregnancy!! I swear I could not get enough gooey brownie mix. Must be a common craving.

I love that all of us have to distinguish between Bloggie Friends and Real Life Friends!

And, if I liked chocolate, I would be all over those!

Well you know I'm weird about desserts. Is there a microwave version of making a good corner piece?! I have to have my corner pieces.

My roomie loves these! I was so shocked when she told me how many calories they have, I will for sure be trying some soon especially after this yummy post!

Just to be clear everyone, I'm NOT preggo! Single as can be. Not that one has much to do with the other these days. I'm just saying.... My "baby weight" is actually entirely caused by eating ice cream and rarely working out. :)

Buford Betty- I know what you mean, the corner is the best. I make this little "recipe" in a small dish so I guess technically the whole thing is a corner piece. But since you are not adding oil and egg and are only nuking it for 1 minute, it's not exactly the same. But it does what it promises- gives you a brownie in 60 seconds. We're not talking anything fancy pants here.

What a great idea...my big butt does not think so, but my belly does :)!
I was an AGD at Univ. of KY...a long, long time ago (okay only 8 years ago, but that seems like a long time to me)! Go Squirrels!

Anonymous-

No need to be snarky. Do you troll the blogs and leave snotty comments after every recipe? Seems like a waste of time to me.

I tagged you... if you haven't done this one already. :)

You are saving the environment one plastic bowl at a time. Maybe we can go on Oprah together!

Oh Miss PPC...this one sounds extremely tasty and very easy! We are loving 'easy' these days, very helpful at this point in our loves!

BTW, god love you for posting the crankenstein hiding behind the anonymous name! Don't you feel sad for them? I do. It must be a very sad existence indeed spending one's time dropping little anonymous blog bombs like this about the galaxy.

Thanks again for the tip... when we are home in the evening (and even when we come home after a function sometimes!) we teeter wildly between the brownie mix kind of night and the apple kind of night. This is a grand idea for some of those times!

OMG! I don't typically use "text" language for fear I will sound like a ditzy high school girl...but this is definitely "OMG" worthy! You are awesome, a genius, an angel for the prego's, a gift from the dessert gods. Thank you thank you thank you! This will definitely help the sweet tooth and the pocket book! (On a side note: I would thank you like this whether I was pregnant or not...I ALWAYS crave brownies!)
