I LOVE Halloween! Love it! Halloween and Fourth of July are my two favorite holidays. Yup, they both totally trump Christmas and everything trumps my dreaded birthday. I don't like the gross, scary stuff. And I don't think that Halloween has to be a once a year excuse for women to dress like prostitutes (though if that's your thing, go for it, no judgement). A happy medium exists. And My Martha found it! Of course.
Don't you love the above inspector costume? So clever and preppy. I bet you could put something similar together for $0 from your own closet. Or you can buy it here.

I adore this skirt! Already thinking about how I can make something similar. I've not had a reason to dress up since my early 20's but I could totally wear this on the 31st without looking like a fool walking around town. Maybe with a removable spider so that I can wear it more than one day a year?

But if I ever do have a reason to dress up again as an adult, it will be in this (or something similar I make myself for a fraction of the price). An ethereal ghost. I love it. It's spooky without being scary. It's pretty without being sexy. And it's probably pretty easy to make if you have many yards of tulle on hand. But of course, Martha sells it here. Damn her for being so clever!

I love the spider web skirt!!
If only we were allowed to dress up for Halloween at our school ~ I'd be the best dressed teacher this year!

I'm totally going to figure out a way to make that spider skirt. So glad you posted this. Happy Friday!
Those are so cute! Makes me wish I had somewhere to wear them...like school when I was teaching. Every year we had a Halloween parade and even the teachers dressed up! Thanks for sharing! I'll have to remember this! Happy Friday and have a great weekend!
We're going to attend a neighbor's Halloween party this year, so thanks for the great costume ideas!

That skirt! I'm not usually a skirt wearer but I could make an exception for that skirt.
