What do you do when someone wants to be FB "friends" but you don't recognize them? I've been ignoring the requests but feel bad. I have friends in common with both people but I swear to you I do not know them. There was a girl with my same first name I believe who went to another school. I'm wondering if they perhaps think I am that other girl? Should I just be "friends" with them? It's not like I do much on FB anyway. Or continue to ignore them? What do you do??

Oh, good question! I have this one girl who keeps asking me to be her friend and I don't really know her. I keep ignoring but it's getting annoying. I'll be interested to see what others say.
I wouldn't feel too badly about it. I like to limit my friends to people I actually know, not friends of friends because I don't want them looking at my pictures etc
My PD just ignores those cause there are people who will request to be friends even if they barely know you---- or cause you have mutual friends!
If I don't know them, I always ignore. I like FB, it is fun to see what everyone from HS and college have been up to.
Ignore, ignore, ignore. That's my policy, anyway. ;-)
I'm usually pretty upfront with people when I get friended & I don't know who they are. I will usually reply & say something like
"I am so sorry but I'm not sure where I remember you from. Please refresh my memory." It's momentarily uncomfortable but it's easier in the long run. I also have no problem denying requests. If it's someone I def don't know.
I wouldn't feel too bad, I've had the same situation and didn't approve it (or whatever it's called)
I'm not a fan of FB, if you have a blog isn't that enough? My stepsister managed to get on my friends list and her religious activities got me a little upset so I removed her.
Probably not good FB etiquette.
I just leave them. If you don't accept them, they can readd you, so right now I have 42 pending requests. If I flat out don't know them and we have no friends in common, I have no problem rejecting them :)
