Has anyone tried on a Sale to Sable dress? Are they as cute on as they look here? I am IN LOVE {like full on heart palpitations, weak in the knees, not lust but true love, love} with the kelly green and navy trim dress in the center. My only concern is the length of the slits up the sides.
The company came to the AJLI Annual Conference but I was too overwhelmed by the crowds and having to change in a {crowded} hotel ballroom bathroom and look at yourself in a mirror surrounded by zillions of pretty girls to give them any attention. It was all just too much for me to process as far as buying clothing.
Which is where y'all come in. Give me the skinny. How do Sail to Sable dresses fit? How to they fit those of us who are {extra extra} blessed in the chest? And has anyone seen this dress online? Give me your honest thoughts...

I got the dress on the left in the picture. It was very low cut on me (I'm kind of busty) so I ended up selling it. I think their size chart is accurate but all of their tunics look so short!
I think they are stunning pieces. I have only seen them on the rack but the quality looks superb. Not sure about the fit though.
Okay I can give you the low down.....They run narrow. We have a boutique that had adorable ones (that you can no longer get) on sale 50% off a few weeks ago. I grabbed a 0 but it was too tight in the chest big time. It almost got stuck on me. I think I would have been a 1 but that was sizing up according to their size charts for me. Also the sleeveless ones run a tad short.
I have heard people say these run true to size but they are flat chested girls. I am a 32D and I need to size up.
I have to tell you that I was CRUSHED because they had the cutest navy and pink with ricarac trim for like $50 and someone grabbed the size I needed one second ahead of me. Like I was reaching for it too. I stalked her to see if she was really going to buy it. She was super sweet though and tried it on right away to see and then even offered to try the size 0 to switch if it fit. It didn't . She was tall and very thin) and needed a 1 too.
I LOVE these dresses...it is just not in my budget right now especially after I saw them on such a great sale:(
One more thing...I don't know how tall you are but I do know that like me you are modest in the way you dress. I am 5' 3" and the dress was long enough but if I were any taller I would be self conscious of the slits.
So, SO cute! Now I am in love too!! I will look for it online, it is too cute not to have sitting in my closet!!
I have the long sleeve pink/green tunic (just like the navy and white) and LOVE IT. The slit was a little high but it really doesn't open up - with Jacks it was perfect for work (I am 5'6" with long legs and got the XS). I was worried that I would look like a potato sack but it cuts in a bit and is very complimentary. Plan on adding more to my collection very shortly!
I JUST bought that same dress but in red and navy on Sunday! A store near me was having 20% off.
I love it. They run 0-3...2 being a medium which is what I got. However, I tried on a few and they all fit a bit differently. One of the size 2s barely fit over my chest (and I am well endowed.) I can take a pic tonight and send to you. I really like the way it fits and can't wait to wear it!
Cute! I couldn't pull off that short length but it looks like you could also wear it as a tunic over some skinnies.
I've only seen Sail to Sable online, but from what I understand, they wrinkle VERY easily due to the linen.
Wow- y'all really know how to help a girl out! Awesome advice, ladies!!
MCW- I would love to see it on you. We are similar up top.
3Peanuts- Well shoot...now that I know they can be found at such a great sale price there is just no way I would consider otherwise. Ha. I'm 5'6" and a DD so I am taking all of your notes to heart!!
And Jennifer- my concern was totally the slit being too high. I think I am still concerned- ha. Maybe I'll find them in a store this week in FL to try one on.
And everyone else- thank you thank you- such great advice!
xoxo

I love the dress in the middle.
