I Grew That

It has taken me five years to figure out how to grow carrots.  Oh I've planted plenty of seeds.  But this is the first year I've ever produced something edible.  Or visible.

I know they are just carrots.  But I am hella proud, y'all!

Rainbow carrots.  Prettiest carrots ever.  Don't lie...you know my bouquet of carrots are fabulous!

Awesome! I've never had the purple carrots before. Do they taste any different?

The colored carrots don't taste any different. But I do think my home-grown veggies are much tastier and sweeter than your average grocery store bag variety. Plus...the purple and red-orange ones are just so stinking fun!

Colby- this was my fist year with any success. Also my first year growing carrots in a pot, rather than the ground. They were also planted with my tomato plants. And in very good sun. In addition, under all of my tomato plants (and therefor these carrots too), I first burried a banana peel and a hand full of egg shells. I was all into plant voodoo this year! So I am not really sure what the key way in that combination but feel free to use any bits from that story that might help! Please feel free to email with questions too.
