I went to a movie with a girlfriend for the first time in at least two years last night and I think the movie gods are punishing me for not viewing more often. First, why is it so stinkin' expensive? $10 seems absurd! Especially for a really dumb movie. I think the ticket price, and therefor actor salary, should be based on audience pleasure. Or displeasure, as the case may be! Justin Timberlake owes me $10.
Now, in all honesty, I didn't know much about the movie. But I saw a commercial that looked funny. And figured it would be indicative of the movie as a whole. Wrong. So wrong.
It was lame. Not that it was all potty humor- though there was plenty. Or unrealistic- though it was. I can look past all of that. I mean, I thought Knocked Up was totally cute. But Bad Teacher just wasn't at all funny. There were occasional giggle moments, but I was seriously bored a good bit of the time. And that seems impossible with the volume in a theater. It wasn't just me not laughing- it was theater-wide silence.
So in review, save your pennies. It's dumb. Justin Timberlake's character is annoying. None of the characters are endearing. And it's really just not very funny. At all.
I did however have a delish din din at PF Chang's before the flick. Love that place and their health conscious gluten free menu! GF-ers, y'all know they have an entire section just for gluten free foods, right? They even bring you GF soy sauce. Tres fabu!

If it makes you feel better cinema tickets can be up to £22.50 each over here (about $35), thanks for the heads up before I wasted my money, was genuinely looking forward to it.
That is insane about the 22 pound tickets stu's talking about - but even 10 dollars is out of control.
Luckily here you can buy a 18 euro a month all you can view pass for four months - then I don't get as P.O.ed when a movie is awful. Thanks for the warning though, I was totally going to go with a girlfriend to go see this! 2 hours of my life redeemed.

My girlfriends and I were going to see it, but it was so packed we decided to wait... so glad we did. Might rent it. Definitely not going to see it in the theaters!
I've heard a lot of people say that Bad Teacher was really funny but it just looks dumb to me. I'm not a teacher and think it would be one of the worst jobs ever.....maybe that's why!

You should have gone to see Bridesmaids.
