From Channel One To Oprah Two

The heir of Oprah has been named.  (big bonus points if you like my geeky HP references)  I'm thrilled.  J'adore Mr. Cooper and his handsomness.  And dry humor.  And intelligence.  Not sure how he will maintain his mystery persona while doing a daytime talk show but I am excited to see this all play out.  Everyone knows how powerful a nod from Momma O is in life.

Update:  I didn't mean that he was the actual Oprah replacement.  I don't think there is anyone who will ever properly fill her shoes.  But he's been on her show a lot, as well as on the View (the world's WORST TV show with the worst human beings as the hosts and the worst manners...all five of them....don't get me started on how much I dislike that show!) and Regis and Kelly.  He's filled in for Regis so often, I actually thought he was unofficially auditioning to take over for him.  Momma O loves Anderson though.  And I think his content will come closest to matching hers at the end of the day.  Oh and he is staying on with CNN.  Just adding in a daytime syndicated show too.  Geeze I sound like a stalker but I saw all of this on the new and online news last night, I swear.

I think that AC is super hot. I didn't know that he was taking Oprah's place.

Anderson is so handsome, and he did a fabulous job on Oprah a couple years ago talking about his life and family--I'm looking forward to his show! :)

I always talk about how he used to be on Channel One and no one knows what I'm talking about. They look at me like I'm a crazy person!

Good morning from Tokyo!

I have great respect for Anderson Cooper. As a New Orleans gal, I loved his efforts during and after Katrina. We could all appreciate his no BS policy in calling out the epic failure on how everything was handled. There is something very genuine about him, and he always handles even the most sensitive topics with tact and empathy. I am so happy to hear that more people will have the opportunity to watch him!

A lovely day to you and yours...

Warmly,

Elizabeth

PS-What pattern do you collect from MacKenzie-Childs? I collect Courtly Check. I know so few people who actually know what it is, so it very nice to meet another gal who loves them!

I love Anderson Cooper! I was at an event that he was attending a few years ago and I made eye contact for all of 3 seconds. And yes, it was 3 seconds of pure heaven...

I love Anderson Cooper! Have you seen him on Regis and Kelly? Hilarious. His dry sense of humor is a perfect match for Kelly's outspokeness. I especially like the story he shared about getting money out of an ATM, trying to catch a taxi and three drunk girls mistook him for John McEnroe. Hilarious! You have to look it up on youtube and watch it for a good laugh.
And, I have to say I feel the same way about TheView. Why in the world is this show still on? Ick, hate Elizabeth Hasselcrack.

Oh my goodness KK, you've just outed my secret crush man. I think it's that hair and those eyes that just do it for me.
I'm going to be shallow and say that I don't care whether he is reading the latest weather report or the farm report, I could sit and listen to him forever.
Shhhh don't tell my husband.

I like Anderson. I am not sure about a talk show but I will check it out when it starts.
