Dear Companies (lofty, I know!),
Y'all need to stop printing phone numbers that include letters. It has always been annoying to sit and figure out the corresponding number to CABLE and other clever words. But now I have a blackberry. And do you know what? I can no longer figure out what letter attaches to what number. Because I have a separate key for each letter and number on my phone. And no longer keep a home land line phone as I cut the service after not using it for more than a year.
My internet was down tonight and I needed to call the cable company to ask why (it was thankfully a super simple fix on my end due to my own computer issues). So I got out my bill to call y'all. But the only number listed is of course a 1*800 lettersRus. I had to google on my blackberry to figure out how to dial your damn phone number. That's super annoying, by the way.
So just drop the letter bit. It was never anything less than frustrating and now it is an actual problem.

Ha! Great post and I have a Blackberry as well, so I know what you mean. This is super annoying.

Hahahha - I hate that too! I was dialing an office after hours and had to use the dial-by-name directory and I couldn't b/c of my BB... so I just kept guessing till I got it right! So damn annoying.
YES! Blackberry users of the workd, unite! I've had to try and google "phone keypad letters" frantically when trying to make a call to one of my work systems that does this, so frustrating. Think I may have to carry a little card in my wallet for keypad emergencies? ;)

I try to picture my old high school phone when I have to dial those numbers. It drives me nuts too!
LOL! I absolutely agree! And I have friends that have personalized phone numbers where their last name is their number - very frustrating until I just broke down and put them in my contacts. But I thought long and hard about allowing such people into my inner circle! :)
