Is This Why I'm Still Single?

So on FB today, Lilly Pulitzer announced that they will be debuting a line of wedding dresses this year! I think that perhaps the reason I have been unattached all these years when every one of my friends got married, had children and bought homes is because I was secretly waiting for a LP wedding gown. Or that's what I am telling myself today anyway. But an hour later when I went on FB to pull the photo, they removed the entire post. I googled and could only find photos at her fabulousness, The Preppy Princess. So go here to see the loveliness that will delight brides everywhere. I love the short gowns. While I have oddly never been one to pre-plan my hopefully-one-day-please-God-don't-make-me-a-40-year-old-bride-or-worse-a-cat (except in my case a dog because I am super allergic to cats)-lady wedding, I have never envisioned a black tie event for myself. (Watch me totally have a black tie wedding and eat my words!) I love the idea of a more laid-back wedding where a short dress would be perfectly appropriate. Hopefully the images are again made available soon as I would love to post them on here. Until then, visit TPP and drool!

Suburban Princess- no, I'm not 22. I wish! I could have cared less about marriage and the future back then. I'm in my mid 30's. Tick tick tick!

You're too funny ~ it's all about the details! ;)

Well since I'm already married {and not planning to get remarried}I guess I'll just have to settle for a new Lilly dress to wear your wedding.

We're with Blonde Steel Magnolia, the title for your post is priceless. I'm a big believer that love will find you (no snickers from the peanut gallery here), and also one who thinks good attracts good back. And something good is in your future, I just know that.

I'm not sure why they pulled the post... although I was told the dresses would not be available through Lilly, only through the specialty bridal shops. Hhmmm, veddy in-tuh-resting.

Sending you a smile,
tp

Good morning!
Love your blog
and have had fun
strolling your
archives....We
used to have a
boutique that carried
LP in our little town
until LP took away
their "license" and
gave it to a store
15 miles away....they
only let stores w/in
a certain distance
carry their things!
So then OUR store went
out of business : (
I can't wait to check
out these dresses!
xx Suzanne
