I made myself a skirt yesterday. And wore it immediately after I snipped the last thread. No pattern. No plan. No idea if it would work. It was a bit big my first go-round but I took in the elastic and it was good to go. Took less than two hours, and would be a lot less than that if I didn't add the anchor or do french seams. But how could I not, being Memorial Day and all. Next time, oh and there so will definitely be a next time, I might use some thicker elastic to make the waist a bit less bulky. And because every single item used to make this has been in my possession for more than a year, I consider this to be a free project. Y'all know that "free" is my favorite word!

Ok you get the grand prize! That skirt is just adorable and in TWO HOURS? Wow! Can you tell I'm such a novice sewer?
Adorable!!!!
Are you going to be selling mommy sized skirts in your store?
I am sure you know this but when I make jammie pants I always stitch up all 4 sides of the waistband to 'seal' the elastic so it doesnt twist :O)
Love it-so summer chic!
This is so cute! I wish I could do this, but I don't have a single crafty bone in my body...boo!
you did an amazing job!
Too cute, I just adore it!
No pattern?! You really are amazingly talented. We already knew that, but this just seals the deal Miss PPC, wow. And you know we are loving the motif!
