So to follow up on my post two days ago....
eBay finally emailed me back tonight. They said that due to security reasons, they were unable to tell me why they removed my listing. But also included a link about how it is illegal on eBay to list counterfeit items.
So when it first happened I was annoyed. But now I am mad and really beyond offended!! I bought the damn bag, myself, from the damn Kate Spade store. And it's pre-owned. It not like I tried to pretend its new or something. And hello, can't tell me why because of security reasons?! It's not like I was selling US Military secrets or official, classified information of some sort. I was selling a damn used bag at a cheap price.
I will probably try to sell it on here tomorrow. But don't think I am letting this slide. I feel like the eBay peeps have accused me of cheating somehow. Now it's personal, my peaches! I'm highly offended and fully intend to see this throw down to the bitter end. It's on eBay! I want a big fat "I'm sorry" or I'm not letting the issue go. Nobody puts baby in a corner!

That is stupid and annoying!! I've never sold anything on ebay either and I have a dress I was thinking about selling because I bought it on Jcrew final sale and it doesn't fit and I can't take it back to the store. I wonder if ebay will let me sell it since I'm new. hmm...seems pretty ridiculous!!!
That seems so strange - especially considering how many people sell v. obviously fake things on ebay that they don't seem to do much abt. I hope you're able to straighten it out.

Thta's so crazy. I don't know too much about ebay, but there has to be channel to go through with a valid complaint of service.
I'm like you and would fight to the end especially when you haven't done anything wrong!
Keep at it!
Omg...how frustrating! I'll be posting a couple of KS bags soon. I'll be interested to see what kind of response I get, to see if they feed me the same crap.
Sorry to hear that. I have to agree with Modern Belle there are a lot of fake things on there. Wonder if they give them as much trouble as they're giving you. Way to stand your ground!
Oh my goodness, I'll never use them again. Of course, I never do, but still!!!
That's horrible! eBay certainly has gotten a little wackier lately. I sold a Burberry purse last year and had no problems, that sucks that you're having such a hard time with them!
eBay sent me that same "Form" letter about counterfeit goods when I listed a Coach demi bag. I went ape sh*t on them. I still had the sales receipt from the Dallas Coach store where I bought the hand bag & even faxed eBay a copy of the receipt. I'm a receipt keeper!! Days went by - no response from them. Then I get another form reply saying they didn't have to tell me why I couldn't list it - something about "security reasons" too, but that I could list it in 30 days! Huh?
First they accuse me of selling a fake, but then say I can list it, but I have to wait 30 days??!
Screw them- I ended up selling it to a co-worker for what I had hoped to get AND I didn't have to pay eBay any fee's!
I have bought n sold stuff on eBay since about 1996 I believe & have 100% pos. feedback so this ticked me off royally.
THe kicker is that I bought a Coach bag off eBay about 10 years ago & that one was a counterfeit! Ebay did nothing to help & essentially washed their hands of the problem & kept telling me to deal directly with the seller. It took me MONTHS to get my $60 back!
There just has to be a better alternative than eBay!
I hate Ebay!! My husband got a bunch of non-payment strikes against him even though he paid right after the auctions ended. He paid through Paypal and he can prove it....Ebay also owns Paypal. So far, they haven't fixed his account. They used to be really great, but I think they got greedy!!
About 2 years ago I had listed a Chanel bag and a Fendi bag on ebay (both authentic!!!) and they took them down as well! There are not as many fake bags being sold now as there were a few years ago due to beefed up security and counterfiet teams. HOWEVER. Their teams need to be a little more educated on authentic bags because I can clearly see that there are quite a few that seem to slip under the radar.. yet our authentic bags get removed. Ridiculous. I did not pursue mine, but if you do, please let us know how it turns out! Good luck!
hi, I am a new follower. Sorry this has happened to you, those people obviously don't know what they are doing.
This would totally tick me off! I would def send them another letter expressing your frustration with the whole situation.
