Let It Go

So I don't have kids and didn't realize until doing a little research that this song, Let It Go, is from the new Disney movie, Frozen.  The last Disney movie I saw was Aladdin, so forgive me if I am not up on animated culture.

But wow...this blew me away.  The little girl singing, Lexi Walker, is phenomenal.  Her voice is unbelievable for an 11 year old child!  Plus the African choir...I was weak in the knees.  Stunning.

But while looking a few things up, I discovered that Idina Menzel, sings the original version from the film.  {Y'all probably knew that already, though.}  Have I ever told you about my love for Idina?  Of course, I swoon for Broadway and all musical theater.  But the first time I saw RENT I just about fell over and fell in love.  Her voice is out of this world.

I'll probably never see the movie Frozen.  I mean, I don't have kids and I am just not that into animation {oddly it's a total pipe dream to do a voice over for an animated movie}.  But I am totally sold on this song.  Both versions.

I too am childless but the prospect of Jonathan Groff and the lovely Idina pushed me to the cinema and I'm glad it did. I think because the animators spend so long making them they seem to throw things that make the movies appeal to adults as well as children. (RENT completely opened up my naive 15 year old world when I first saw it!)

Um... pretty sure you saw Tarzan with me in the theatre the night we went to Bahama Breeze and got stuck at a checkpoint where I had to do a breathalizer (sp?) test and about shit my pants. I remember we were telling the cop how good the movie was and that he should take his kids...hahaha.

Hi, I don't have any kids at home anymore but the movie was just darn cute!

My sister in law and I went to see it the Friday after Thanksgiving last year. It was very funny as there were many families with children there. But I wanted to see it and it ended up being a very good Disney movie. Besides we needed something to do while the guys watched sports.
I just saw a bit on the local news this AM that the man that wrote the musical score is a local.

I have literally been singing this song at the top of my lungs since I watched the movie. On top of how much I love all the songs that came from that movie the movie itself is amazing!
