Quick Change

I decided I was in the mood for the finest dining that the Capitol Region could offer me last night. Friendly's. Shut up. I know it's bad for me and gross and all of that. But sometimes in life I just want crappy, greasy food and a coffee milkshake. So anyway, Dad and I pulled into the parking lot (that is packed BTW because your dining choices are very limited up here on a Sunday night) and found a spot next to a black Saab where a little blonde girl was standing up and popping her head out of the sunroof. Odd. But then I look closer. And I see her mother (I assume) sitting in the driver's seat doing a little quick change. Literally in full daylight this woman is sitting in a very busy parking lot changing her TOP! I was paralyzed with uncertainty. Should I get out and try not to look at her or should I wait for her to finish changing? And why was the kid standing up with her head out of the sunroof? My snap decision was to get out of the car and avert my eyes. Very odd!

On a sad note, I just found out that a friend's husband has a brain tumor. They are younger than me, and I am not old (though I act like it sometimes!). I cannot imagine how scary this must be for them. But the doctors seem to be very positive and are scheduling a surgery right away. If you are of the praying variety, please do me a little favor and keep my sweet friends in your thoughts tonight.

I'm kind of jealous of your Friendly's excursion! Any time we visit my husband's northern relatives, we always go to Friendly's! :)

Oh my goodness, how sad. I mean about your friend's husband not the lady in the Saab (although, that might be kind of sad, too).

I wish them the best thoughts.

PS - Friendly's isn't too bad! If it's any consolation, I am eating McDonald's for lunch! *Laugh*

Stupid lady. You’d think she would at least get her daughter out of the sunroof to draw less attention.

I’ll definitely be praying for your friend and her husband. I can’t imagine how scary that must be.

Have a great week!

Oh, wow! I don't even have to words to express how sad I am to hear about your friend's husband. I pray that the doctors can make everything better.

I would never judge someone who likes coffee milkshakes. My favorite.

That is very sad about your friend's husband. I hope that his prognosis is good and treatment is speedy.

I have never heard of Friendly's....hmm.

Some people just boggle the mind with what they do and find exceptable.

I'm saying a prayer for your friend and her husband. That is so sad

I LOVE Friendly's. I only get to go when we visit my inlaws in MA as we don't have them in TX. They have a peanutbutter cup sundae that I love.
Sorry about your friend. Hope all goes well with his treatment.
